Make Yourself at Home

On your first visit plan to spend about 30 minutes with us. You will be warmly welcomed by our friendly staff and made to feel "right at home."

New patients often remark how "friendly and fresh" our office is. That's good, because our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable, clean, and friendly environment. You will find convenient parking including a covered handicap space. Expect to be greeted by name when you enter the office and be given a short tour to get acquainted with our facility. You may have already completed your admitting paperwork. If not, after doing so we'll show you a short 5 minute video and then you'll meet our well trained para-professional and of course Dr. Phillip Smith.

We Explain Everything First

X-rays of the spine will be taken to determine if chiropractic care can help. The purpose of your first visit and consultation with the chiropractor is to discuss your health concerns and goals to see if chiropractic may help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination and spinal x-rays will assist in identifying the cause of your problem.

After your first visit we will need some time to analyze your x-rays and correlate our exam findings. This should be complete in only one or two days. This two-visit approach accomplishes several things: reduces length of your first visit, give us time to compile all your exam findings, and avoids information overload.

Patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance.

Dr. Smith Asks some important questions of interest to Gonzales residents - Chiropractor Gonzales Dr. Smith Asks...

How come medical doctors don't recommend chiropractic?
That's changing. Years of prejudice and bias are giving way to research showing the benefits of chiropractic care. As more and more Gonzales folks seek alternatives to drugs and surgery, more and more medical practitioners are referring their patients to chiropractors.
What's the difference between a "good" drug and a "bad" drug?
As a chiropractor, I see the use of many drugs (legal or illegal) as merely symptom treating. Worse, virtually every drug produces unwanted effects. The effects of chiropractic are largely positive effects. If you're a Gonzales parent, consider carefully before giving your child a cough medication, cold remedy or pain reliever so this sort of question doesn't arise in the first place.
